How do I install the program?
ChronoSync
- Download the product by choosing the desired application from the Downloads page.
- When the download is complete, a window will appear containing the Software License agreement. Once you select the Agree button on the license agreement, a window similar to the following will appear on your desktop. Click on the "Install ChronoSync" icon and follow the install steps. That's it.
Portraits & Prints, DayChaser and ImageCaster
- Download the product by choosing the desired application from the Downloads page.
- When the download is complete, a window will appear containing the Software License agreement. Once you select the Agree button on the license agreement, a window similar to the following will appear on your desktop (you may have to switch to the Finder to see it). You will also see a disk volume icon and a .dmg file, with a name corresponding to the downloaded product, appear on your desktop. If the disk image icon does not open automatically, double click it (this may be the case if using pre-10.2). This file should mount automatically. If it doesn't automatically mount, double click it or use the Disk Copy application included with Mac OS X (click here for more instructions on this).
- Drag the program icon to your Applications folder (the ChronoSync icon in this example). The easiest way to do this is to expand your toolbar on the above window. To do that, click the oval at the upper right hand corner of the window. Drag the program icon to the icon that reads "Applications". This is your Applications folder. After releasing your mouse, the application will be copied into this folder.
- After installing, close the above window. You may either place the .dmg file somewhere on your hard drive for future installs or you may want to put it in the trash to conserve disk space, along with the mounted disk image. If you do trash it and find that you need to install again, you may acquire the application from our website by downloading it again. This, of course, is free as is all of our updates!
- Double click the icon from your Applications folder to run it. If you want to keep a shortcut in the Dock, just drag the application icon to the Dock.
- To update to a new version, take advantage of the "Check For Updates..." feature in the Help menu. This is only available in our newly updated applications. If you are updating an application that does not have this feature, just follow the above procedures and copy over your current version. We update often and it is always free.
Note: The demo version of the program and the full working version are one and the same. You simply enter a key code into the license window to turn the demo into the full working version. The key code is sent to you via e-mail when you purchase the product.

I cannot unstuff the downloaded program. What do I do?
Make sure you unstuff under Mac OS X (as opposed to Classic) and that you use the Stuffit Expander application included with Mac OS X. Stuffit Expander is located in Applications under the Utilities folder. If you unstuff an OS X file using Stuffit Expander from Mac OS 9 (Classic) it might not work.

I cannot mount the disk image file. What do I do?
FOR 10.1 AND 10.2 - If the ".dmg" file is not opening when you double click it, or it is opening as a text file, use the Disk Copy application. Disk Copy is located in the Applications under the Utilities folder. Just double click Disk Copy and drag the unstuffed ".dmg" file to the small window that appears. This will mount the disk image and a disk image icon will appear on the desktop.

FOR 10.3 - If the ".dmg" file is not opening when you double click it, or it is opening as a text file, use the Disk Utility application. Disk Utility is located in the Applications under the Utilities folder. Just double click Disk Utility to open. Under the Images menu, choose Open... and then select the .dmg file you are trying to mount. This will mount the disk image and a disk image icon will appear on the desktop.

I've mounted the ".dmg" file using Disk Copy, but, shouldn't it mount automatically?
Yes. All ".dmg" downloads should open automatically. If they fail to do so, something has become misconfigured on your Mac OS X system. To make all ".dmg" files open correctly in the future just follow these steps:
- CONTROL-CLICK the ".dmg" file and select "Get Info" from the contextual pop-up menu (or select the ".dmg" file and hit COMMAND-I or "Get Info" from the "File" menu.)
- Expand the disclosure triangle with the title "Open with:". Choose the application "Disk Copy" located in the Utilities folder inside the Applications folder.
- At the bottom of the window, click the "Change All" button. Now all ".dmg" files will open with "Disk Copy" (You can use this trick in the future if you are having problems with other documents not opening with the application you want.)

How do I register the program?
When you purchase a program from us a License Key is emailed to you that unlocks the program enabling all of the features. The License Key is a series of characters and dashes that must be entered into the Registration Panel. To open the Registration Panel click "Register Now" when you launch the program or choose "License" from the main menu while using the program. Enter the License Key using Copy/Paste, type in your name, then click Register.

I get "Incorrect registration values" when I register. What do I do?
Make sure to Copy/Paste the License Key from your email, do not try to type it in. If you must type it in then change the font of the License Key so you can more easily distinguish the characters ("Courier" is a good one to use).
Make sure you fill in the "User name". You may enter any name you want.
