Portraits & Prints stores your photos in Catalogs and prints your photos on Templates.
CATALOG
A Catalog is a double-clickable document that displays thumbnails of the photos that you want to print. It is not a photo organizer like iPhoto, it simply links to the photos you add. Photos can be added from iPhoto, a folder, a CD, a website, or anywhere. You can add one photo or hundreds. You can create as many catalogs as you want and save the catalogs for future use. Brightness, contrast, sharpness, saturation, red-eye, balloon-caption, rotation, and cropping tools are available. Any enhancements made to photos are stored within the catalog and applied to the image when it is printed so the original photo is left untouched.
TEMPLATE
A Template is a page layout where the photo size and position are preset. A template is a lot more than a photo layout; it can contain any kind of text and graphics so you can print your photos any way you want. A template could be as simple as eight- wallet sized photos printed on a page, or as complex as eight-company ID badges containing photos, graphics, and text. Once a template is created, that template can be used over and over again, changing the photos and accompanying text. You can download hundreds of free templates using the Template Manager or create your own using P&P Pro edition.
Add photos to a catalog, select a template and the photos are arranged
on the page according to the design of the template.

TOOLS
Selecting templates and printing photos is very easy. Creating new templates and editing templates can be more involved.
