Oviedo, Florida -- February 28, 2002 -- The first maintenance release for ChronoSync™, the automated synchronization tool for Mac® OS X, is now available. This version addresses alias and symbolic link resolution issues encountered after the program was initially released. In addition, it includes a few tweaks and enhancements. With ChronoSync you can synchronize files between folders, hard drives, removable media, lap tops, file servers, or any computer. Download the demo and try it out, or purchase ChronoSync for only $19.95. The update is free to all ChronoSync users. Available now are release notes for this new version and a tips section on how to use ChronoSync more effectively.

Some of the highlights of version 1.0.1 include:

Synchronizer no longer raises an exception and aborts when encountering a symbolic link directly referencing one of it's targets.
Resolving aliases to file servers during synchronization now properly displays the 'Login' dialog.
File copying is now always a 'safe-style' copy i.e. copy is made to a temporary file, original is deleted and temporary file renamed to the original.
Broken network connections during synchronization are now handled much better.
File ownership and group membership preservation is now correctly attempted.
Multiple login dialogs are no longer presented when opening a document with one or both targets on a file server.
Exclusion messages no longer get posted to the log twice.
A 'Skip Error Reporting' option has been added to the synchronizer.
When resolving conflicts, the complete relative path of the conflicting item is now displayed.
