Printing Calendar Documents

There are many uses to printing Calendar Documents. Print an entire year to make your own custom calendar. Print a month to show your boss your upcoming tasks. Regardless of what use you have for a printed document, you would like that document to be printed clearly and neatly. This tip will guide you for printing a calendar document the best possible way.

The Landscape options in Page Setup.

The biggest problem we've seen users come across is that documents appear to be "squeezed" onto a page. When this occurs, appointment entries will be truncated, no longer displaying the time of the appointment. To get around this, we recommend that you set the document to print in Landscape mode.

As you have probably noticed, calendars tend to be more wide than tall. Placing a calendar on a page that best accommodates these dimensions will produce the best results for printing.

Choose "Page Setup..." in the File menu. For Orientation there are three buttons present from which you may choose. In the Portrait orientation (first button), the page is taller than it is wide. In DayChaser (and most applications for that matter), Portrait is the default setting. Placing a wide calendar on a narrow page is the reason why the above- mentioned "squeezing" occurs. To get around this,
select either the second or third (see diagram) Orientation button.

That's it!

The diagram to the right shows you an example of how a printed calendar document should look after you print it in Landscape mode. If you have any problems while using our products, contact us by using our support form. If you wish to share a tip with us, post it on our comment form.
