No. DayChaser is a Universal Application. That meansDayChaser will run natively on both Power PC (G3,G4,G5) and Intel-based Macintosh computers. When you installDayChaser, it automatically detects what kind of processor your Mac has to give you peak performance.

What is the best Appointment-Calendar-Organizer application for the Mac?
Most users need their personal information available to them on multiple devices. Furthermore, they need to connect with other users to share and merge appointments and contacts. iCal not only offers all of this, it integrates with other applications and of course the price is right – it's free. Besides, almost any limitations of iCal can be overcome by purchasing applications that integrate with iCal and provide the extra needed functionality. A search on macupdate.com or the Mac App Store will yield plenty of results for applications that give iCal extra functionality.

Some users love Google Calendar with the ability to access data on any computer and its integration with mobile devices.

Finally some organizations need integration between many users and find higher end or custom applications work best for their needs.

How do I get my data from DayChaser into iCal or any other application for that matter?
Open your DayChaser Calendar document.
From the File menu choose Export->Calendar Entries.
From the Export window select which entries you want to export which most likely will be the "Entire Document".
Then switch the "File Format" to "iCal". (The file format will vary for other applications.)
Finally click on the "Save" button and the entries will export.

Now you have a file on your Desktop that you need to import into iCal.
Open iCal and from the File menu choose Import-Import. (The import method will vary for other applications.)
Select the file you just exported and import. (If a message comes up concerning "Alarms" choose "Remove Unsafe Alarms".)
That's it.

Can I import my iCal files into DayChaser?
Yes. You can transfer calendars back and forth between iCal and DayChaser. Best of all you, can import into DayChaser hundreds of iCal calendars available online. Click on the links below and download any calendars you want for free. Then simply import the calendar into your DayChaser calendar document.

Can I share my calendar with other users?
You cannot post DayChaser calendars on the web, but you can export your calendar and give the file to other DayChaser and iCal users. To share with other DayChaser users you can simply duplicate any DayChaser calendar document and email it to them.

Can multiple users access the same calendar?
Yes and No. DayChaser calendars are double-clickable documents. You can place a calendar document on a server and share it. However, if two users make changes simultaneously, then one user's changes would be lost when the other user saved. You can also export calendar entries and then have other users import the entries into their calendars. Finally you can create one calendar document and then email it to multiple users.

How do I import holidays into DayChaser?
To add a single holiday onto your calendar, create a Full-Day Event and then alter the appearance to any way you like. If the holiday occurs every year then use the Repeat command. To add in multiple holidays for any year, go to one of the iCal sites listed above then download and import a holiday Calendar. This is easy way to add in all the holidays for a single year.

How do I repeat an entry?
There are two primary ways. You can select any entry and then copy/paste it. For more advanced options select any entry and then control (right) click and choose Repeat.

Create a new entry, select "Appointment", and type in a date range.

How can I change text size on the calendars?
You cannot change the size of text on the calendars. Text displayed on the calendars relates to the size of the calendar window which you can increase and decrease. However, you can change the color and fonts of text. You can change the appearance of calendars by opening the calendar document Drawer and clicking on the "Options" tab. You can change the default appearance settings of new calendar documents by choosing Preferences and clicking on the Calendar panel. You can change the appearance of entries by opening the calendar document Drawer and clicking on the option tab or by adding Categories. To change the appearance of an individual entry, edit the entry and click on the Appearance tab.

How do I backup my calendar(s)?

DayChaser calendars are simple double-clickable documents. You can create as many calendar documents as you like. To back them up just make copies of your calendar documents.
